LOCK in with the Holy Spirit in strength! Follow the Dove and cultivate your relationship in the secret place.
As we follow the Dove, He takes us to places we never thought possible, and He takes us into places of dreams unfolding. He also takes us to the broken and less fortunate and uses our lives to help mend and heal others.
Recently for me, the Dove led me to some foundational places within. He said to me, “I will take you to your foundation so I can heal you!” I didn’t know I needed healing! I didn’t know I needed to return to my foundation for reflection and remembrance of how my foundation was built. The Lord literally physically took me back to my childhood church to speak at a women’s conference, the place where I had my first encounter with the power of the Holy Spirit! As an 8 or 9 year old child I was filled with the Spirit and speaking in tongues.
There are just so many components in my life that make me the Daughter of Zion that I am today! My childhood church is def a part of that incredible journey. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:5-6 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
There are undoubtedly many who helped worked the soil of your life and brought components from here and there, building materials that built the foundation and your house that now serves as a dwelling place of our dwelling God. I’m sure you can think of those individuals/builders right now, yet the scripture says it is God that gives the increase!
1 Corinthians 3:9-13, 16 For we are fellow workmen with and for God; you are God’s garden and vineyard and field under cultivation, [you are] God’s building. According to the grace of God bestowed on me, like a skillful architect and master builder I laid [the] foundation, and now another [man] is building upon it. But let each [man] be careful how he builds upon it, for no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ. But if anyone builds upon the Foundation, whether it be with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw. The work of each will become known (shown for what it is) The work of each [one] will become known; for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done… Do you not discern and understand that you are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you.
Would you too allow the Dove to take you on a journey to your foundation and ask Him if there are areas that need healing in your foundation. The Lord gave me a song that I wrote while on this journey. This one day I kept hearing in my spirit, “Till only Your love remains!” And then a song began to flow.
Would you allow Holy Spirit to remove components that in the end will not stand the test? Can you say to Him, “Till only Your love remains Lord!” This is my prayer for you and I today! Till only Your love remains God! Heal my foundation till all that remains is your love. We’ll talk more about this next time! In the meantime ask Holy Spirit to heal any areas that need healing.
