Follow The Dove Part 1

As Worshippers, sometimes we need to stir up the gift of God within us. Sometimes we hit stalemate. This can happen for a multitude of reasons, and it happened to Timothy.

Paul says to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:6, “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you!”

Another version says, “Kindle Afresh” Yet another, “Fan into Flame” Holman says, “Keep Ablaze” The Aramaic Bible says, “Rouse the Gift”

Paul reiterates in 1 Tim 4:14 by saying, “Do not neglect the gift that is in you.”

For those of us that have struggled with a stalemate, or what seems like a deadlock spiritually I want to encourage you with these words from the Lord…

“Follow the Dove!” Stir it up! Kindle Afresh! Fan into Flame! Keep Ablaze! Rouse the Gift! Lock in with the Holy Spirit! When you first fall in love with someone, you’ve heard it said about that person, oh he’s only got eyes for so and so! Have you eyes for the dove? We truly do become what we behold!

In SOS 1:15 it says, “Behold you are fair my love, you have doves eyes.” I see the prophetic lining of this Scripture. Having eyes only for the things of the Spirit. We are all in! Locked in with the Spirit of Grace.

We have a gentleman in our church that is locked in! It doesn’t matter if I ask him to pray, or preach, or whatever the task maybe, I know he’s locked in with the Spirit and what pours forth from him is going to be fresh and anointed! This is something he has cultivated in his life, he’s been keeping his eyes on the dove!

SOS 2:14 O my dove, in clefts of the rock in the secret places of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face lovely.

These scriptures are the depiction of pure devotion and closeness. In the secret place, worship will bring forth the lover in us! Jesus said these very rocks will cry out. We can take that into a deeper meaning than just a pebble on the side of the road crying out praise. In the clefts of the rock, the secret, quiet places the lovers of God (those with eyes for the dove) are crying out their praise and their worship, their prayers! THE DOVE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE SECRET PLACES! He will lead your to the rock
