Deeper Still Music Video

I'm so excited to announce that I'm going to be working with Film Producer Rob Klaver on his project Ten Fingers.  The title song off my new cd Deeper Still is going to be the official soundtrack for the film!  Lord willing we will be in Toronto on site shooting the music video for the film in August.  I will share more details about the film in time as things develop more... ha ha, no I'm not acting in the film as some have asked, my only involvement is the music video itself for my song.  Joining forces with me in this adventure is Steve Hubbard, Darryl McWaters, Tony Lind and Jason Runack.

Baby Arrived!

Baby Amylee Ruth Israelson arrived 2 weeks early on June 29th!  Her three big brothers are in love with their little sister and so are Brad and I!  Thanks everyone who prayed for me during this time, the Lord blessed me with a short delivery and a healthy baby, I couldn't have asked for more!

Mercy Me Concert

For those of you who attended The Mercy Me Concert in Augusta, Maine... I just wanted to extend my thanks for the warm welcome we received from you all!  A big thanks to Lighthouse Events for bringing us in too!  I can speak for everyone in the band as well, we all had the time of our lives!

Recording

Hey, Wow its the first of May already and I haven't updated my blog yet... so here goes.

Alot has happened since the New Year!  For starters I'm now almost 32 weeks pregnant!  Its gone by so fast and just now I'm starting to feel a little big or maybe a whole lot big!  Also with Gods wonderful timing, the band and I will opening for Mercy Me in Augusta, ME in 28 days... so needless to say I'm going to be a rockin' Mama with a nice big belly bouncing around on the front!  haha!  We've heard that first floor seating has sold out already!  Cool!

I've been in the recording studio with Andrew Horrocks this past month working on my new Worship project!  I am so excited for everyone else to hear what we have been working on!  It really amazes me how its all come together from the songwriting process to actually hear how the songs are shaping in the studio.  I really feel Gods hand moving in the whole project and I pray that His Spirit will inspire people when they hear it.  The lyrics to my songs once again just convey what God has been doing in my heart and speaking to me this past while.  God is constantly speakin to me about drawing closer and deeper into Who He is and understanding His awesome ways.  As I live life I really get a huge sense that my way of doing things and my own understanding is defenitely tainted by my own experiences and the dictates of society and culture.  Its all so aloof from God's ways and His Kingdom understanding.  So I pray for His continued grace and mercy in my life as I seek Him out and find Him.

While we have been up here in Ontario I have many people to thank for their hospitality and help!  Here are just a few names... Naomi & Michael, Steve and Rashmi, Lynn & True North, Laura, Wendy and last but not least my amazing hubby Brad!!!!  You all have a part in the fruit of this recording for your love and support!  Thank-You!

Ok... one last funny story, on Wednesday we had a long session in the studio from like noon till 10pm at night... needless to say it was hot and I didn't get much fresh air.  The musicians were already gone and I was waiting for my demo that just finished and we were wraping up the night.  All the sudden I felt a huge rush of weakness and I knew I was fainting... And I did!  My poor producer... He was brave to catch this big prego mama, and sat me down on a chair!  He called the ambulance cause I was worried about the baby, but everything turned out to be just fine... the moral of the story is... when your pregnant, get plenty of fresh cool air if your in the studio recording all day!  BTW... Thanks to Julia for your comfy bed that night and wonderful Horrocks hospitality!

Whew, another New Year!

Wow, its hard to believe another year has come and gone... but don't we say that every year!

This year we have seen many changes come to North America and around the world with the credit crisis and falling stock markets.  My heart grieves as I ask God what He would have us to do to help the less fortunate and needy in our communities and world.  The scripture says that pure undefiled religion is to look after the widow, feed the hungry ect...  A person could feel so overwhelmed at the hugeness of the need that looms before us, but there are so many wonderful organizations and ministries that we can participate with to help change one life at a time.  To name a few... Compassion, World Vision, Samaritans Purse and your local food bank are a wonderful place to start!  Please listen to your heart this New Year and allow God to minister through you however big or small your gift may be, remember Jesus said the widows mite was the biggest gift of all.

This past year has also brought many changes in the Israelson's lives.

One of the biggest changes has been our change in location.  Moving from Wasaga Beach, Ontario to Hartland, New Brunswick in August has proved to be a real step of faith.  We miss our friends and family in Ontario so much, but we are thankful for the new ones we have gained here in the east.  We have been so amazed at the warm welcome we have received from Christian radio and different ministries here in the east.  Gods family truly is one big family.  I am happy to return to my roots here in Atlantic Canada and we look forward to Gods purposes being fulfilled in us here this New Year.

In September we were excited to find out that GMA nominated me for a Covenant Award "Female Artist of the Year".  What an un-expected blessing, I send a big thanks out to all who voted for me!

Then in October we found out probably our biggest news that will soon change our lives hugely, this is our announcement of a new baby on the way!  Ha ha, yes its true, I am now pregnant with our fourth child!  In a family with 3 boys already we are expecting it will likely be another boy!  Lord willing, I am looking forward to taking some time off this new year to spend with our new bundle of joy.

I send Love and Spiritual Blessing to you all in Christ this NewYear!

Awaken

I want to share some things with you that the Lord has placed on my heart most recently. God has been challenging me continually to keep coming before His throne of grace and seek His kingdom come in our hearts and lives. I hope that whoever may be reading will receive some tidbit of truth and be encouraged today!

Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light. Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit. Eph 5:14-18 amp

It is the cry of my heart to see the North American Church awaken in this hour and day that we live. I truly believe that a day is fast approaching us that we as Christ’s followers and believers will have to make distinctive choices to declare His name on our lips. Clearly scripture states that we are to be separate from the wickedness and uncleanness of the world... Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you. 2 Cor 6:17 This is not a popular message to be shared, but is a must if we are to be the salt and light for the world. I believe we need to draw lines for ourselves in our hearts that have been washed out by the acceptance of many man-made ideas and doctrines and from embracing secular culture into the church. My heart grieves today because our young people do not know where to draw the line and question whether or not there are absolutes. The message of the above scripture continues to ring loud and clear into my heart as I seek God on what may be common in me to the present darkness of this world. Jesus being our ultimate example for us to follow said in John 14:30 I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.] amp. Jesus overcame the world and through Him we can be overcomers with Him! John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] amp.

I want to encourage everyone reading my blog so seek God with all your heart and believe that He will manifest His presence in your life. Much love to you all and peace in your hearts!

Happy New Year!

Wow its hard to believe another year has come and gone!  Last year was such a wonderfully blessed year for me and I praise God for everything.  I wanted to highlight some of the awesome events that took place throughout the year that makes me feel the way I do.  The most obvious blessing is defenitely my new CD recording and release party.  Wow, just when you think your dreams are getting real dusty on the shelf thats when God brings about His biggest surprises!  I got to work with the some of the most professional musicians in the Christian Music Industry in Canada.  Recording with Andrew Horrocks at AME Recording Studio really was the best and we would do it all over again.  I really want to thank all the wonderful people in Christian radio that have played my songs and been such a great support!  Especially Scott Jackson at Life 100.3 in Barrie!  This year we had 2 hit singles in Canada, "Lead Me There" & "Free"!  Brad and I had a blast on our road trip with Andy to Nashville for GMA Week in April.  GMA Canada also was a wonderful highlight with meeting so many great Canadian Artist with a heart for ministry.  Coming home with a Covenant Award was pretty cool too!  Then in the fall I toured with World Vision and their Girls Night Out Events in South Western Ontario.  Our tour manager "Timmy" kept us in stiches laughing the whole time as he was quite the comedian!  To wrap up our year lastly with Christmas concerts and really lovin "What Child Is This" (thanks so much Doug and Belinda), this past year was a change of course in history for the Israelsons!
